Urgent - Need answer regarding starting problems on 92 civic lsi
It's a general question on a 1992 Civic 4 door, 16V/90 hp version (Called LSI in europe)
Looking to buy one, and seller says the car has problems starting when warm.
Is this a big problem? Never heard of this before.
He said the car startes fine when cold, and problems started after he changed the distributor cap.
Can I get this adjusted for cheap.
Looking at the car in a few hours, and it's a good deal if the starting problem is a small issue.

92......look for rust.
It had better be cheap as hell, you had better have time to work on the car and parts had better be easy to come across.

Rust, I can always inspect, and they're not as bad as the pre 1992 versions!
More worried about the engine problems, might be many dollars in repair, or just a simple adjustment.
Has anyone experienced this starting problem? Sound odd!

Look for an oily starter if the starter has a bunch of oil on it. It will start when it is cold but when it warms up the oil gets on the contacts and it has a hard time starting. If that is the case just replace the starter. And fix the oil leak.
