Default Question about Slave Cylinder

So my slave cylinder went bad again in my 2000 GSR (this is the 3rd time in like 9 yrs), and It was over Christmas break and I am not at home. I took it to the local Honda dealer and they are saying that even though my master cylinder is good I should replace it as well so that the "hydraulics synch up". Any advice? I really can't afford to do any preventative maintenance right now so any helpful advice would be great!

If the master cylinder is still good, i don't see why you should replace it. Just replace the slave cylinder and bleed it to match it up

I don't buy that.... You just need a good bleeding. I cant see how a slave cyl is getting beat and leaking so often?

The dealer's advice is good in the sense that both master and slave will be of equal age, and will both theoretically have the same lifespan. But as long as you don't mind possibly needing to go back in again at a later date to replace the master cylinder by itself, you don't need to replace it now.

You say you've had three slaves go bad nine years. This suggests misdiagnosis, aftermarket parts, or incompetent installation.
