Default Slave Cylinder, replacement suggestions.

Well today I have come to the conclusion that my slave cylinder needs to be repaired or replaced. I will prolly not take the "autozone" repair kit route. Would rather replace the damn thing anyway.

I am going to buy one today, I have read up on a few other replacement part brands for the slave cylinder. I am also looking into getting a genuine honda replacement but it is a little more than double the price of the "Sachs" clutch slave cylinder. My question is....... Has anyone had experience with this replacement parts manufacturer or any others? Or would you just go with "genuine honda replacement"?

Thanks for ANY insight on this question.
If ther are no replys on this subject I will go ahead and get one or the other and will update the thread with the outcome. I will be doing this in my driveway after work. I will try and document most everything for a DIY on slave cylinder removal and replacement, I looked in the FAQ`s and didnt find anything really on slave cylinder "how to`s" or different recommended brands.

I got one from pepboys for $15 in 2004. It crapped out one year later, so I used my lifetime warranty and got a new one. Since I already changed it once, changing it a second time was a breeze. I do not know if that one that I had bought was defective, but the second one has held up since then.

That is most deff a good price. No issues since? I have changed a slave cylinder before, so im not worried about doing the work. I am just a little strapped for cash at the moment, but if going the cheaper way is going to make me have to do something twice............I would rather just spend the extra coin and have high quality parts. Thats why I was kinda asking, I have heard that the "sachs" cylinder "meets or exceeds" OEM standards. Hoping someone has had experience with these.

I am going to call the PepBoys and get some info..
Thnx Professorman
