Default AV6/wagon brake swap - bracket problem resolved

Any of you who have been following my brake swap posts will probably remember that I got the wrong caliper brackets with the remanufactured calipers I got from AutoZone.

Well, I called Morse (the remanufacturer) directly and spoke with one of their engineers. Turns out they realized after my phone call that indeed the bracket they supply is wrong. As of today they are shipping me a set of correct brackets! (the 25T, I assume.) Apparently they are doing an investigation into this problem at their facility.

Makes me feel good to see that I was able to help them straighten out this problem. Kind of hard to believe that I was the only one that had this problem - or was I the only one that complained??

I should get the new brackets this weekend - hopefully they're the right ones

Hmmm....I recently bought remanufactured AV6/Wagon reman caliper from PepBoys and they did *not* include brackets, so I went out and bought them seperately from a junkyard. I spent more total $'s by buying the calipers ($39.99 each) and brackets than if I had bought them together at AutoZone. Oh well!!!

The pair of loaded calipers was $87.99 + core charge. They were Morse part number P1460.

Hope to get the brackets installed this weekend... I'll let you know how it turns out.

Yeah, typically they don't come with the brackets. The loaded ones come with the brackets, all of the hardware (sliding pins, etc.) and new pads.
