i have 93 honda accord auto trans 2.2l.the d4 light is blinkin constantly.car shifts all 4 gears smoothly but torque converter does not ock up.runs 3000 rpms at 70mph.speedo works fine no shakin or sputterin in shifts.full of fluid and clean.what do i need to look for to solve this problem?also it is hard to crank the first time every day.once it cranks then it will crank time u hit the key every time after that till u let it sit for a couple of hours.have changed plugs ,wires,dist cap,rotor button,engine rebuilt,4-2-1 jdm header cat back exht,fuel filter,ectwat can i do to fix these 2 problems i have.i am capable of the work with good directions.

Slow cranking in the morning could be a combination of things, make sure the leads to the battery are clean and tight. Test the battery is fully charged.

12.65V 100% 1.265 g/cm3
12.45V 75% 1.225 g/cm3
12.24V 50% 1.190 g/cm3
12.06V 25% 1.155 g/cm3
11.89 V 0% 1.120 g/cm3

 

in for results, my new 94 accord ex wagon does the same thing. d4 blinks, gears seem to **** fine, haven't gone on the highway yet. i did find what appears to be an old shift solenoid in the back seat. i gotta pull my codes tomorrow to see what i got. no too concerned, converting to 5spd when it gets warm.

 

battery good.havent pulled codes yet.just learned how to do it without a scanner.will check in th morn.

 

ok pulled codes cant tell if it is 1 or 10 only blinks 1 time nothing to compare it to tell tell if its fast or slow.checked lock up solenoid and it works both sides but ohms out at 29.3.took tcu out checked it nothin burt all oms out took a while to ohm all those circuts.wat else could keep it from lock up.

 

got it.loose connection at ect plug.cel and tcu lights r off.now the oil light stays on.new oil sending unit.plugged in tight,full off oil but light wont go out even when rest.soon as i crank car oil light comes back on.how do i check the oil pressure on this car.
