Default Upper Strut Mounts

Hey! My upper strut mounts are gone due to my coilovers. Would you guys get new OEM ones, or Energy Suspension ones?

TIA

I'd get ITR upper shock mount bushings.

How did your coilovers cause those to get worn out though?

You might want to address the problem directly.

Well I am using B&G true coilovers. They were great to begin with, but now they make a lot of noise. My friend has the same setup on his Eclipse, and now his upper strut mounts are gone and so are mine. I don't know if this is directly related to the coilovers, but thats the only thing I can think that would cause this.

As much as I'd hate to use solid pillowball mounts on a street car, you might want to consider going with those rather than continually replacing the bushings.

It's really odd that your coilovers are causing this to happen though.

How do you know they're worn?

Got a pic?

I can take a pic, but the noise they are making ( a loud clunking sound everytime my car hits a slight bump ) is the same noise my friends Eclipse makes.

That loud clunking could be a number of things.

What leads you to believe it's the upper shock mount?

Just my experience with my friends car... plus numerous people being in my car telling me that it is the upper strut mounts. I don't really know what to look for, but that noise is driving me insane.

Just to get the obvious culprits out of the way,

your wheel/tyre combo isn't rubbing on anything is it?

EDIT: A "clunking" is usually related to a failed cv boot or a bad wheel bearing.

Look at your cv boots on your axles and check for any damage.
