Icon6 b18a1 in ef help.

had a double whammy today , first issue was one i could solve . my in line check valve going from intake manifold , to brake master cylinder went bad and caused my booster to completely ingage upon first press of the brakes. fixed that.

my real issue .. rolling to a stop my car died . fired it back up and went to clean it out. would not rev past 3500 .. had to limp it all the way home this way, she was sounding as if it had a 2 step lol
only reason im asking on here is becasue the problem has gone away so i cant really test to see what went wrong .
has some one had similar situations ? any help would greatly be appreciated !

check the distributor wiring at the dizzy and ecu. something could be getting a bad connection or is loose or what have you. that was my issue when my LS went into that limp mode.
it would throw a code 4 usually.
my experience was wiring issues, but it could be anything that affects the spark.

I had a similar prob on an f22b vtec swap.. it ended up being the vtec oil pressure wire had come loose. seeing as your non vtec you might try checking the oil pressure switch and wiring.. A shot in the dark lol

only other time this happened to me it ended up being a bad ecu, one of the capacitors had burst and leaked on the board. might try swapping ecu's with a buddy and see what happens

id check every connection. the injector wiring would cause some problems too. i had one of my pins push out of its plug at the ecu one time. i checked my wiring 10 times and it was all in the right spot.... just one wire wasnt pushed all the way in
