zc swap is killing me
Well the previous owner of this 88 Crx had issues with the car (gas needle was off and was out of fuel). In his infinite knowledge he figured it was wiring and tore the entire harness out of it and rewired the car himself. So now I'm trying to put a Honda harness back in there instead of the hillbilly deluxe wiring in it now
hahaha! nice! I hate that man.....yeah it'll work like the other guy said, as long as you're still DPFI and your CRX isn't a SI. Unless you're doing the MPFI yourself....I'm not sure what engine you're using but I think you catch my drift. Good luck with the new harness.

I'm doing a zc swap so it has to be an si harness. I'm trying to figure out what else I'd have to change other than the fuel pump if I were to put a 91 si harness in it
You don't "have" to put a SI harness in it. You can keep your harness but there would be some wire work. I have my original DX harness, I just had to mod it a bit for my ZC swap. And which ZC single or Dual? What OBD are you going to run? The DOHC ZC has a CPS on the exhaust cam, but if you're going OBD1 you don't have to worry about that. There's a guy you should talk to on here, he custom makes harness's for people.
I forgot about you're redneck chop job you said when you bought it. But you don't have to use a SI harness.....since you're not going to be using your original harness I would seek out that guy on here that custom makes harnesses so it's just plug and play for you.
Its the 1.6 dohc zc. Well I already have an si. And I have a 91 si harness. I'm running obd0 and I bought the distributor adapter. What is the CPA?
Ok, fuel pump does not need to be changed out. If you dot wire in the separate ckp sensor
On the exhaust cam then your car will not run. Aside from this if you have a DPFI set up, you will need to perform the standard mpfi conversion.
Make it simple and start over since the previous owner already messed up the wiring. Feel free to txt me 916-541-5266

^ there he is.......No offense man, but it sounds like this job may be easier for you if you just get him to make a harness for you. I promise it'll make you're life 100% better with less headaches and you'll have more time to work on other things.
hahaha! you're good man, atleast it's not like the guy with the post for "crazy ignition timing". Just for OP's sake, if he would send you his SI harness he bought would you being to set him up for a plug n' play set up? I ask because I'm a bit curious too about something like that, and do you do B series too?
Oh trust me I know. I think I also scared myself. I was gonna go change the spark plugs on the zc to get it all ready and what not. There's antifreeze in the spark plug wells. Anyone see a.problem with this
