Where should I look for a good condition D16Z6?
My D16Z6 in my car has worn piston rings and a blown head gasket, and instead of tearing it all apart, replacing the rings, honing the cylinder walls, etc, I'd rather just pick up a cheap, used D16Z6 that is known good and swap it in.
I found this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/92-95-honda-...#ht_2331wt_952. Is this a good deal?
Can Honda Tech help me find some good deals? Long or short block is okay.

That's a good seller & shipping is included but I don't like how the mileage isn't listed. Some might say you can get it cheaper but depending on where you are that isn't always the case. I would get a lower mileage engine from HMO.
check your local junkyards or put a watch out online they will have junkyard distributors that network with all junkyard in the us to contact you through email what they have in stock and mileage on it.
Try Hmotorsonline...you can get them there. If they aren't sold out! Maybe a couple hundred bucks more...but you KNOW you are getting a good engine!
first and foremost....honda D series haven't been produced by honda in over 10 years, so "good" condition is relative.
Places Id check...HMO as already mentioned, ebay and craigslist.org. The last 2 will yield better deals, however HMO at least is standing behind it.

The one you listed seems pretty good. $700 shipped isnt bad and they have good feedback. Ask for a pic of the ACTUAL engine you are getting.
