popped the hood of my CRX SI SE. and found this tucked away nicely out of sight. this is the first time discovering this, its got a pretty long wire and the black wire is connected else where.
just wondering what this is all about. car runs and drives fine with out it being attached to anything and i'm not throwing any codes.

i'll find out for you guys tomorrow. but just to clarify we are on the right page.... we ARE talking about the blue wire thats connected to the GREEN sensor thats on the motor, to the left of the dizzy......am i right? lol cuz thats what i'm trying to figure out
just under the blue wire on the sensor is a black wire that leads to something else (cant remember which) but i'll take more pics for you guys and get back to ya :D

Not connected to anything by the looks of your right side picture. Your blue wire on the green sensor looks like a different size wire. Silly thing to ask, but no power at the wire?

the bundle of blue wire is ran under the strut bar and its been "attached" and electrical taped together by another blue wire that leads to the sensor, and yeah...no power to the connector at all.
like i said the black wire (assuming ground) is running to another set of wires. its strange.
but for sure i'll get more various angled pics of the sensor and wires later on today.

the solenoid is one wire and should be ran to the ecu.
the switch itself should have a 2 wire plug. one for power and one that is the ground.

well i feel like a total *** now..... today i went under the hood and REALLY looked around and found that the vtec solenoid was hooked up properly and as stated last time, the blue wire is an aftermarket wire leading through the firewall.
sorry guys i should of really looked a bit more before posting this thread lol. but i gotta admit, just by the look of the wire and from moving things around, it looked like it was hooked up to the vtec solenoid lol.
again....sorry lol. thank you for looking :D
