Default actual traction bar owners look here

So im thinking of getting one not for the actual purpose of traction but to let downpipes clear. Has anyone actually owned an ebay one? Ive read about 15-20 threads about them but i dont get any good feedback about them being crappy.these are the ones im looking at now.

Well they only have a 3 day return policy, so if it breaks you're screwed. 'Light steel' doesn't inspire confidence either. I would look for a reputable one used, or just spend a little more. This isn't a part you want to fail on the street. I've been using the Full Race bar for about 70,000 miles and the moving parts need to be replaced soon. Expect that one to last half as long if you're lucky. JimFab, Innovative, ESP, and Full Race are the only ones I would consider.

Additionally, it looks like the ebay ones bolt into the tow hook ancor location, instead of the stock traction bar location.

There is no stock traction bar. You mean the crossmember? Yes, the ebay ones scare me too. The full race uses the crossmember and tow hook locations. OP, you should really research some more, don't be cheap on this part unless you never drive the car.

Man, if you keep looking for cheap ways out, you'll never be done modding that sedan. Get the goods that will last, bro!

The ETD bar also utilizes the stock crossmember holes. If you buy one used, the possibility of the heim joints being bad is real, which will require you to spend more money. I'll be sending you a bill at the end of this month for my financial advice services.

Don't go cheap on a piece that is an integral part of the suspension up front. Just save up if you can't find a used one.

"Did juu say STEAK?!"

I just looked at that Innovative and I must say... no! It doesn't even come with adjustable radius rods, so you will have no way of making caster adjustments. I guess they expect you to use your stock rods and give you the option of buying their rod bushings? For not much more, you can have this:

If you are going to go the eBay cheap route it is really hit or miss. If you're willing to risk it being a piece of junk but save the money then go for it.

Yes and yes! Don't worry with buying their radiator mounts. Make your own.
