Sputter and died, no CEL
I was driving my 95 H22 prelude and the car began to bog when I would step on the gas. Later the car sputtered and died. I took a look at the ignition system and found out the igniter (ICM) was bad (thru testing it in a simulator machine) so I replaced it and now I have spark.
Now, I crank the car but it does not start even with the igniter replaced. Seems like its a compound problem. My fuel pump is working as I can smell gas in the combustion chamber after removing my plugs from cranking. Is it possible that the engine can prime itself and still not deliver fuel for starting?
I'm stumped. It may be something small but I can't figure it out. Everything is aligned correctly on the timing belt side. All fuses and relays are good. Main relay comes on. Spark tested the system and I have spark but the spark is an orange color and I thought it was suppose to be blue.
Any ideas? Thanks
