Icon2 Taillight re-wire??

So I was driving and another civic like mine (sedan '99-2000) pulls up in front and brakes, then I notice that the brake lights only turn on at the corners (look at picture), so I thought to myself if it was possible to somehow re-wire the wires so that the "parking bulb" also turns on while braking (see picture and description), I would like the two bulbs to turn on at the same time. If anybody can share any knowledge of how I can go about doing this, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance guys.

That should be fairly easy. Get a dual filament bulb base from another 99-00 Civic sedan at the junk yard and splice it into the brake light wiring. You may have to modify the bulb base to fit the single filament tail light socket, but it's not a big deal.

You should have no problem pulling another 2 amps through the stock wiring.

Wouldn't I need a dual filament bulb in the "parking" base, one filament for the parking light on and another for the braking? Just like the actual brake bulb. I was taking a look at the bulbs, sockets, and taillight housing and they are not the same, the "parking base" circle is not the same size as the brake bulb base, so its not PNP, any ideas??

I was thinking maybe a socket from a '96 teggy might fit, and that way it'll be an oem dual filament bulb and socket with no modification needed? Because the "parking light" socket off my civic and the teggy's socket look similar, maybe yeah???

Yes, you'll need a dual filament bulb and socket that closely matches the one already in your parking light. Try looking for a car that came with a 2057 or 1157 in the brake light or turn signals. The Integra uses an 1157, so that should work, or check the 1st gen CL. It has 2057's in the brake light.
