Default Hey

I was looking for a thread to introduce myself, but didn't see one so feel free to move this if I missed it.

Anyways my first honda accord was the last year with the flip up head lights *Would love to find another fully loaded*. I had the car for three days before I wrecked it, the seat belt malfunctioned, and my head went threw the windshield!
My second was a 91 I believe, but had to sell it to pay some bills.

Anyways I'm back looking for another 94 or older Accord to modify and enjoy. My name is John and I'm friends with the guy that owns DDtech so hopefully I can get on the right path with my research and learn what I need to!

It just shocks me that early 90's Honda still fetch so much with so many miles... I will get lucky sooner or later though!

Welcome to the HT! Glad you survived that accident. It sounds pretty nasty.

Yeah it was really bad. I wouldn't get in a Honda for years because of it, but I'm over that now!

If I could just find an 89, 91, or 94 for less than a fortune I would be set to go!

Welcome to the site! How much are you looking to spend on a 94 or older accord? The value of these cars at least according to kbb due to depreciation is upsetting by my standards.

Everything I'm seeing is between 3k-4k with a few under that, but have issues!
I just don't understand how a car 18 years old and older *besides classics* that are stock are worth that much. Now I guess if I was selling I would be happy, but buying I want in cheap to keep cost down lol.

My mint 91 lx coupe was valued at $3900 @ 132k miles when it got into an accident, $700 to buy the salvage back, got it for 3708 before title and tax @ 116k. Spent $2200 in body work and paint restoring it (somehow I still have a clear title, although carfax shows), used the extra money to add a keyless entry alarm, deck, door speakers, an extra $650 total, then spent the remainder on a nice dinner with gf at the time now wife. All this was in 2006. The car was also bought from a cadillac dealership of bellevue (the rich yuppy part of the greater seattle area).

Oh don't forget the american dollar is in the ******* right now.

Have you thought about picking up a clean shell (that the motor went out in), and just doing a swap? You could have a really nice one by the time you got done that way.
