I have 1998 Honda Civic ex manual stock . Recently I got a code for the knock sensor , so I bought a new one and replaced . After 3 days , boom again same code. Bought a another one , again same thing code for the knock sensors. So I got a knock sensors out of my friends car out ( no codes ) and put it on mine , after couple minutes code again lol... I checked all the wires , made sure its on there tight , nothing is loose ... So now my question is , WTH is up with this ???? Bad ecu maybe , or what else could it be.

hey i have the same problem right now on my em1 and i cant seem to figure out what the problem may be. how did you end up fixing it

 

First off, there's a diagnostic flowchart posted. Follow that, and you'll be able to solve your problem.

Second off, don't bump a 2 year old thread with nothing new to add, please. If the flowchart doesn't solve your problem, create your own thread.

 

I had the same problem I change spark plugs spark plug wires put higher octane fuel in my car, new fuel filter plus a Lucas octane booster, and nothing still came on, the last things i did was moved the spark plug wires farthest away from the headers I could, thinking it would prevent spark knock, and I also adjusted my idle where it stayed just over the 670rpm the book says and it hasnt came back.
