wheel offset on EJ6
ok first off YES i searched for HOURS....
I have a 97 coupe and i am going to go with 16's (like it or not, its not the point)
here is my delima, I am DEF not a "hellaflush" type, so from zero to +20 is OUT of the question...BUT i do however, feel that offset is massive important to the look of car...
here is where i cant find definite info... will a 16x7.5 +25 stick out past the fender or not?
I do NOT want +45 either (looks like a damn railroad car)
I will be running probably 2-3 in drop on a regular

it will damn near close if not just a tad past the fender. I was looking into other 16" possibilities as well.. best thing i came up with is +30 for looks and not rubbing.
But just like u said.. 20 is out of the question, but 25 is ok.. 5mm when close to fenders can be an issue of rubbing or not. that why a 30 should be fine either way.
Check some 16 x 8" rega's, i think theyre +35

this is my .02

I agree with, EsotericImage.
In any event, you can always find the wheel you want, right offset or not, and just get spacers to get it where you want it.
Remeber, anything bigger then 3mm 5 at the most will require longer studs. Or, you could get spacers with the built in studs.

ok I think i am basicallyfinding what i wanted to know, I read thru the forum these pics came from some and dude says he is running 40 series tires (assuming 205/40) does that sound/look right... i like that the tire isnt streched looks perfect. i just need one of you with more tire expertise to verifiy or agree with the kids claim
True but these are just pics i found on the net... the fourm they came from has the owner claiming 16x7.5 +25... just wanting to see if you all think that looks accurate as this is the stance of the wheel i think looks best
nice ^^^ i decided to use some circuit 8's that were on my GSR parts car they are 15x6.5 +38.... look a lot nicer than i thought they would, check out my build thread for pics
Im not a tire pro, but I beleive those are 205/40's. I have a set of 15x8 +25 wrapped in 195/45's. My tires have very little stretch and do poke a good 8mm or so at 0deg camber. I did adjust my camber to be set @ -3deg to get rid of the poke. If anyone objects, that's fine, cause I'm just taking a wild guess and trying to use my common sense. I also used a neat little online tool called willtheyfit.com
Assuming you want to be at 0deg camber, youll need a camber kit, but Looks to me itll be sorta flush at 0deg with the 16x7.5 +25, you will have to roll the fenders for sure. If you go +30 youll for sure have a better fitment if youre trying to stay away from that stance look or railcar look. Look at it this way, if +30 is too in the fender for your liking you can add a 3mm or 5mm spacer to pull the wheel a lil to get closer to the fender.
Here are a couple of examples compared to my setup on an ek, remember this is at 0deg camber and i had about 6-8mm of poke.
16x8 +30 205/40
