What brake booster to use with 94+ Integra 1" Master-cylinder?
Hey I'm about to order parts for my CRX big brake kit.
I will be using a 94+ Integra master cylinder (1 inch) from an integra with ABS.
What brake booster will bolt up to this master cylinder? This needs to bolt into a CRX.
Thanks

The front brakes are GSR 11.1" disc and the rears are 10.3" disc.
What prop valve should I get? (20/40.. 40/40.. 35/40 etc etc)

the 40/40 is specifically for non abs 4 wheel disc so that seems like on obvious solution.
as far as the booster the booster from the DC integra will be a guaranteed fit to the master cylinder as well.

Thank you all for the help.
40/40 is what I will find.
As for the booster (290v) what cars can I find that on?
Thanks!

I will take a pic of my current booster tomorr0w. I think it said 230v, so obviously bigger # = bigger size.
If 230v is 13/16th", then the 1" master cylinder is 16/16th."
Does 3/16th really make a difference?

well, when I installed a 15/16ths mc on my car along with my da brakes all around but kept my stock lx brake booster my pedal would go half way to the floor before brakes would finally start to engage. so yeah i think it'll make a difference.
Alright so to put big(est) brake booster/mc/prop valve on a CRX I need..
94-01' Integra (w/ABS) 1" MC
94-01' Integra (w/ABS) 1" Brake booster
90-93' Integra (w/o ABS) 40/40 Prop valve.
Can anyone verify this and will it all bolt up?
I've heard on the USDM MC you have to rebend/flare a line or something but on the JDM MC you don't.... I can't find that information anymore though..
thanks HT

if you use a pre 98 mc you'll have to get a larger fitting put on one of the hardlines, the 98-01's use the same hard line sizes as our civics, they'll have to be re bent though. here's a pic of my hatch with a 99 ex bb/mc on it for reference:

here's a 97 and older spec bb/mc combo, with an adaptor for the rear hose hole:

here's the 98-01 spec:

hard line locations are the same on the 1" one as they are on my ex one pictured above

yes, from my understanding of an abs system is this: the pump "flutters" or pulses the pressure so the wheels get optimal stopping ability with out actually locking up, as apposed to a non abs system where direct and steady pressure is applied strait from the pedal to the pad, which under heavy braking the wheels are more likely to just lock up, especially if you have crappy tires.
I'm sure there's also a proper mathematical way to explain how it works, but I see it as, the larger the stopping surface (ie, rotors and pads) the stronger the force behind the caliper is needed to keep pedal travel and stopping power the same.

right now I am using a 96 odyssey MC and booster setup. The lines are on the other side, and one is 12mm instead of both 10mm.
I am using OEM crx DX front brakes on crx DX knuckles.
This works for my b20/b16 with 94-01 integra axles. These knuckles require removal of dust rings, which wears out the wheel bearing faster..
Using DA (90-93) teg knuckles does NOT require removal of the dust rings. I am having a pair shipped to me soon, hopefully before my wheel bearings wear out from driving on the beach in sand.
I am using EG2 (94 del sol vtak) rear trailing arms (they bolt up fine) with 9.5" disc.
Currently I am running this with a 17/25 (OEM crx DX) prop valve and it 'works'.
When I upgrade to DA knuckles in the front (10.3" disc) I will switch to a 40/40 prop valve. This is 'ideal'.
Thanks everyone.
