Guys, I need your help please!

I couldn't get the rotor off the shaft... I have taken out the screw but it seems to me the rotor is stuck with the shaft... I ended up breaking a piece off the rotor when prying... now I have the whole distributor off...

Any comment will be greatly appreciated!

 

Is it possible that the plastic rotor could melt? Now I regret trying to replace the rotor. It could have been still good...

 

Well if it's stuck on you have to get it off. Douse the thing in wd-40 and try again after it has sat for a few hours. Good luck

 

They frequently seize on the shaft. Use a hammer and flat screwdriver to knock it off, it will break.

 

Thanks guys! I managed to nip the rotor off piece by piece. After I was able to take out the leak cover, I just pried the center off the metal

Is it ok with a slightly cracked leak cover though?

 

Mine was the same when i was changing the internal seal. I havent had any problems.
