Del sol - weird vibration passenger side front.
Ok, I have been trying to figure this out and im kinda stumped. I drive my car and I have a vibration feeling in the passenger front. It feels as if the tire is off balanced or getting uneven, whatever. Today I noticed that the lower control arm inner bushing was bad. So I replaced that and its still doing it. I then swapped out the 2 wheels from driver to passenger and vise versa. Still doing it. I have checked my tie rods, axles, ball joints, everything. Its a constant "womp womp womp" sound when driving. Any ideas?
I would try swapping tires from to back and see if the sound suddenly starts coming from the rear. If it stays at the front then you know it's something up there. If it was clicking I'd say CV joint in your axle was the likely culprit. It's possible it's something else in the rotating assembly... rotor, hub, axle...
Since your control arm bushing was bad, it's possible you've got other torn bushings as well. My upper control arm bushings are torn, and the wheel actually vibrates while going down the highway at certain speeds and produces an indescribable rhythmic noise (note: I've almost completely stopped driving on highways while I wait for all the parts to arrive, though switching to winter tires seems to have masked the issue).

Today I looked more into this and my rotor was warped causing the brake pads to be featherd down on one side. I put a new rotor on along with replacing the pads upfront. I get everything done and the problem is still here. That really only leaves the axle or a wheel bearing. Question is, is the ring part of the CV axle(passenger side) right where it goes into the tranny supposed to have a little bit of play/movement when grabbing and shaking it? Also, how can I tell if the wheel bearing is bad?
