1994 accord loud humming noise??
ok i just bought a all stock 94 accord dx 5spd from my friend. but the car makes a loud humming noise when i slow down and have to clutch engaged. not exactly sure what it is. the car only has 112k original miles in it. could it be low on mtf or is it the throw out bearing going bad? i will try to upload a video of the sound as soon as i can
Between I believe 1000 and 2000. I know its below 2500 for sure but its only when slowing down and have the clutch pressed. Doesnt do it when driving I dont think. But does it in all gears while slowing down
I have the same exact thing going on with my car and I believe one more person on here had that issues. I don't believe that anyone has solved this, or at least figured out what it is.
No this isnt a vibration. Its a loud humming noise. kinda likethe noise poer steering makes when it goes bad. but this is when the clutch is pressed and only when slowing down. But the noise is loud you can stand 20ft away and hear it clear as day

So it wouldnt be just because of low flud? Just wanna make sure cause I wanna get it fixed asap but if its something basic I wanna do it myself instead of taking it to a shop
Does it happen when you're not moving, or just rolling slowly with the clutch in? As some one said before, most Hondas have a little whine to them, depending on how you have yours setup that whine may become a hum? Check everything you can and then find a shop that a cheap check over price. Spitfire down here does full inspections for 25$.
As of right now just when im rolling comming to a stop. And im use to hondas had like 12 so far but never had any make a noise like this. The cars all stock so idk how to check whatever it os you m an by set up. I already got a place that will do a clutch kit and resurfaces the flywheel if needed for $400 parts and labor
No, low fluid shouldn't make any noises; unless, there's barely any. It'll make it harder to go into any gears. Same with the clutch fluid, it will not make any noises but to loose pressure at the pedal.
I don't believe the throwout bearing turns until the clutch is pushed in. If this is the case then when the throwout bearing starts to wear it will make bearing noises when pushed in, which appears to be what you're experiencing.
