Default Squeeking coming from driver side knuckle?

I have a 1993 honda prelude JDM vtec and i used to have 270,000 miles on all the parts, shocks, bjs tie rods, everything needed replaced. so i did all of it, new JDM h22, new 5sp tranny, axles, the whole suspension, brakes. and before i changed the powersteering rack and the shocks, it used to squeek real loud, like a metal to metal sound. once i changed the shocks it stopped immediately. now its been about 3 or 4 months and shocks are still doing good, but the squeeking is coming back and getting louder. It squeeks when i turn my P/S, the p/s is still real smooth, its just that noise. could this be a bushing ? P/S pump?

have you checked the accessory belt? try some belt dressing from an auto parts store

Did you put a new P/S pump on with all the other parts you put on? If so, most rebuilt pumps don't come with a pulley. So did you press the P/S pulley onto the pump? Sometimes I have people come into the parts store blamming the pump of making noise, but what we find out is that they did not press the pulley on the whole way. Also, you said you put a new rack in.... was it a rebuilt rack? Alot of remain racks have issues with the external seals... check to see if you have a leak, that could be causing stress on the pump.

So specifically what did you replace, and what brand parts did you use?

I used kyb shocks for the front and rear, um i believe the p/s rack was a rebuilt one, the upper control arms were all oem arms from partsgeek.com, same with tie rods. for the rear i have megan racing toe arms, the front and rear lbjs are oem too i believe. but the p/s pump is actually from my usdm h22, i have swapped to a JDM h22 and used the same p/s pump from before, but has made that noise since i had the car, until i changed the shocks, then it stopped, but now it has recently started again

Ok thanks, I only ask because those little squeaks can get tricky to track down. The stuff from partsgeek may say "OEM Replacement" or something similar, but that doesn't mean it is a good brand like OEM Honda or Moog or something. Sounds like it could be an upper or lower ball joint since those rotate when you turn the wheels, and being that they may/may not be quality parts that would be a good place to check.

my girls car did that awhile ago and it would stop squeeking when it was raining or snow anything that would somewhat lube it it went away so i got so annoyed with it i got some wd40 and sprayed the strut tower and spring and bounced it around a little drove for a few days and it has never come back so it could have to be something witht he strut itself. how low is your car or is it even lowered at all. her car wasnt lowered or anything just saying as an idea it could have something to do with the strut even tho you just replaced them a short while ago its a possibility

Your girls car must have had MacPherson struts, whereas he has double wishbone arms and a shock/spring combo on his Prelude...very different. Our shocks never rotate like cars with MacPherson struts.
