A few questions.
I been looking at 02-05's and I have realized they are the same price as 92-01's, is there something wrong with that generation?
What does VP stand for? I seen some LX VP DX VP, and even EX VP.

7th gen Civic's aren't near as popular as earlier gens. 01-05's are not sub-compact. They're compact, with the corresponding weight gain. You can't just bolt on a swap in one like the earlier gens. You can't swap parts from 3 different gens. There aren't near as many aftermarket parts. The D17 series is "weak". You get the idea.
VP stands for "value package".

From the factory, there are quite a few issues with some of the components on the car.
They're known to have issues properly burping coolant, the automatics are somewhat unreliable, they don't have the same aftermarket support as their predecessors (although you can use a lot of equipment from the DC5 and EP3 chassis), and to some they aren't as good looking (although that is entirely subjective).

I'm not to worried about doing anything to a car, maybe rims and shocks/springs.
What comes in the " value package"? sounds like a marketing thing.
thank you for the help, and have a fun filled day!
