Moving on up! Bought a new Miller Diversion 180!!!
I've been welding here and there for about 6 months. I've primarily been doing Aluminum IC piping and exhaust. When I started working out of the shop I currently rent at the owner had a Miller Econotig he bought atleast 5-6 years back. He showed me a few tips and from that point I spent a lot of money on Argon and other supplies practicing and practicing. To this day I've welding primarily aluminum. I've learned the importance of clean material and keeping my hands from shaking so I don't keep having to clean the damn tungston every other minute. lol.
I'm about to start building a exhaust manifold for my car. I had a custom one built almost a year and a half ago, but I was never happy with the quality (especially for what I payed) and sold it and decided it was all on me this time. It's gonna be a SS manifold and twin scroll, just gotta find somewhere to mount this S400 67mm on my SRT-4. lol
I also bought a new Elite helmet with it, just flat-black for me. I don't care about flashy designs:

Here is the guy I gotta fit compared to a stock SRT turbo:

When I get the engine back in the car and start fabbing I'll gladly update this thread. Now I gotta do some trolling to find a part number for a good SS gas lens.
Thanks guys and feel free to offer any advice!

Your going to like that thing alot better than the econotig. It welds aluminum so much easier. I sold my econotig in favor of a miller syncrowave 200. My aluminum beads look so much nicer and they are 10 times easier to lay. The econo tig could lay a nice bead on flat stock, but when your trying to join two pieces together, like two pieces of tubing, it really sucked. I had 2 fab guys and my self trying to make it work, no dice with any of us, at least nothing decent anyways.
Good luck with your purchase, mine was one of the best I ever made.

I wish this thing had adjustable a/c balance then it would be perfect. I am debating between a syncrowave 200 and this machine. I am sure the electric bill for the diversion would be a hell of a lot less then for a syncrowave. Have fun with it man I am sure you will enjoy it.
