egr solenoid valve issues
So I keep failing my emissions cause of high nox and hydro carbons. I was hoping I didn't have to get all prelude vtec emissions parts, but my accord had just starting missing during egr range when I blew my head gasket so I replaced the egr valve with a new airtex(the correct one as there are two and the other is for the a6 motor). However I still failed and my car is still missing through egr range. I have my eyes on the other two egr components at hondapartscheap which, luckily for me
, is in the same city as me. yay
However the prelude egr solenoid valve is actually $27 bucks cheaper than my accord one so I'm wondering if anyone can check and see if the prelude one will plug into my accord connector(s) ?
And I'm confident that the vacuum control assembly from a prelude will work as well. I will probably just get them both if the prelude solenoid works.
EDIT Nevermind, I see that they use totally different connectors.
RE-EDIT lol they use the same vacuum control assembly.

Ya, the first time I failed the emissions test I pulled the IM and cleaned it all out using two cans of carb cleaner, a small allen wrench which I grabbed with a pair of needle nose and stuck into the runners and through the tiny egr ports themselves and just kept cleaning until I could spray into the valve area and have it come out of the ports clean when I turned the IM over. Took about an hour.
