Default transmission help

ok.....i just recently bought my 07 si back from the guy i sold it to.....while he had it he put a rsx-s trans in it...this made the gears upside down and the speed censor doesnt work....is there a way to make that tranny work and get the speed censor to work or would the best option be to go find another si tranny. i have seen stuff online for make that kinda thing work when swapping into eks egs ect...but it was for an si trans to a type s bottom end. i dont know just wanting some opions and maybe someone knows something i dont. thanks any help would be greatly appreciated

If are talking about the gears being in the wrong place like 1st and 2nd being in a reversed position, maybe just by rerouteing your shifter cables or getting rsx cables you could straighten that mess out.

If the rsx cables come in from a different direction the gears would be reversed in the si, but I know nothing about the rsx never owning one.

The speed sensor may just be bad or for the rsx, and it needs to be the correct year honda sensor to work with Si Instrument Panel.

shift selector mechanism is most likely different and 02-04 rsx used a vss more old school style and the 05-06 are like the si, must suck to not have a lsd no more

Just on the fact that the Si trans has the factory LSD..I would search for one. The final drive is also better in the Si vs the 02-04 Type S X2M5 trans.

I know they get pricey but, its worth it to put back what belongs in my opinion
