My cousin has a 2001 Civic Ex, i just did her clutch and throw-out bearing and as i was plugging all the sensors i removed back up i have one at the very end towards the firewall that looks like it should plug to the airbox or something but i can't find the other end or where it goes. Maybe these pics will help?


it has some kinda bracket on it too.


appreciate the help, it's like the only thing i got left to do but i don't wanna bolt the airbox and stuff back in with it unplugged.

 

Looks like the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) to me.

 

lol, where the heck does it go? on the trans?...i can't for the life of me figure out where i unplugged it at. And it's way to clean to have not been plugged into something.

 

Yeah, the VSS is screwed into the top of the trans. That plugs into the top of the VSS.


I too was surprised to see how clean it is compared to the rest of the transmission.

 

just wanted to thank you, it def was the VSS it was just hiding behind the shift cables...totally didn't notice it. But thank you!
