so you only lose power to your lights when your car cranks but the lights return when your car starts? i fail to see the problem here.

Trying to see it too. I thought it might be something past what everyone else knows is supposed to happen when they crank their car.

i'm pretty sure mine does it, it's because all the power is drained from around the car to go to the starter to actually crank the engine, the alternator isn't spinning fast enough during cranking to power anything and the power from the battery is to the starter...

Also trying to figure out WHY one would pull the fuse for the cluster and wonder why the cluster lights are not working? Am I missing something here?

umm my integra and civic both do this my EG did it my 2000 Si did it just happens... the motor needs power to start and it turns off all electronics while cranking... dims all lights too thats why you shouldn't turn on your car while the headlights are on
