Default why are my f'in times so slow!!!!!!!!!

ok i have a 94 gsr with stock internals, 74K miles, clutch masters stage3, a drag3 kit with 8lbs, an underdrive crank pully and a 62mm polished throtle body. I ran a run with just an intakeand ran a 15.57 with a 0-60 in 2.19. With my ****** kit on a ran a 15.1 ( oh i hate saying that!!!) with a 2.6 0-60. I ran both times with my 18's on. everybody says thats my problem because i dont really have any hookup off the line. Will it help if i put my 15's on and lower the pressure?? also when i ran before i just ran WOT to redline in every gear. But with my set up now it stops pulling for some reason around like 6300??? im just wondering where to shift at and what wheels to run. Theres a kid at the track with a jrsc running 13's what the **** is my problem??? please help im about ready to buy a focus or something.

well that 2.6 60 foot time....SUCKS... LEarn to launch..even with the 18s you should be able to pull a 2.4.. on 15s you better be pullin 2.2s that is 4 tenths there...and every tenth on the 60ft is about 2 tenths at then end. so thats a low 14....basically learn to drive..turn down the boost till you can

well as far as your times, you need a good set of tires. try like a lightweight 15 and a set of BFG's, you will see your times change. as far as the car not makin power past 6300 there is a couple things it could. are you sure that everything was installed correctly?? whats your boost level at when the car stops making power?

you already have a good base car. What more can u ask for? OBD 1 setup, GSR motor, turbo kit.... thats one of thebest combinations out there.

Youhave to take alook at what you want to do later... if you want speed.. get rid of the 18s and prep the car for speed. 15" rims, stiffer suspension(adjustable on the rear)

Damn i thought i was slow. You need to check out your turbo set up. Put that thing on a dyno and look at your power curve. I ran a 14.028 in the 1/4 w/ 7psi. That was with 17" OZs @ 42psi and a 2.4 60'.

practice makes perfect. u need to learn the car and how to launch it ure 60' are horrible. some bf goodrich street slicks will help out much on 15's. as far as ure problem with the car not pulling after 6300 rpm maybe the boost is leaking or u have a wastegate problem could be a lot of things. keep an eye on the boost gauge next time and see if the boost drops around 6300rpm.

I launched at 3k and shifted at redline. But don't copy that because i got a shitty 2.4 60' on 17" rims. Sounds like you setup is fucked up. Do a compression check.

I thing you just need to get your car tuned. Take it to a dayno and let them tune it for you while its on the dayno. Running 15's with a turbo GSR, damn thats hella slow. Get some 15's rims that will help too. What rpm do you take off at?

You got problems bro.... my automatic on 17" rims no less hits 2.5's 60's making yours look that much worse.... your 18's are killing you definatly, so try the stockies with lower tire pressure and try different launching techniques...

hum...wanna talk about 60 foot times...my stock dx with just an aem and 15inch gsr wheels pulled 2.2 60ft times about 6 months ago..i havent got to hit the track with the new motor yet...what i would do if i was u would be to go out on a back road somewhere one night and just practice..launch after launch etc...also see if u can slip the clutch a launch from about 4500k...good luck dude....it just takes practice..
