Shifter clicking after brake inspection on '05 Vic
Hi all,
This is my first post, so please go easy on me!
I just did a brake inspection on my '05 Civic LX (Auto) and now that everything is back together, when I depress the brake to shift from Park, I hear a clicking in the console and I feel it in the shifter lock.
There was no clicking at all before I did the work, there are no stopping issues and my brake lights work.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Unless you took the console apart and messed with something then yes it did, you just didnt notice it until you really started listening. Its a totally normal noise.
Don't get me wrong, I value everyone's opinions and knowledge, that's why I joined, but the car never did this before and I'm just looking to see if someone else may have had this happen and can shed some light on this.
Also normal. Being a Honda technician I have found this many times. When a customer works on their own car they can sometimes become overly paranoid to noises and sounds after its back together (worried they did something wrong). It's something you can only cure with experience. Or you can just pay someone to work on it for you.
