Hate to make a full thread on this but search yielded weak results. Anyone running this setup w/o a spacer???

About to pull the trigger on track wheels and need to know somewhat quickly

Doespike owns that car now so if you want you can follow up with him. Not sure if the spoon clappers are still on that car though.

Appreciate the help, but these are the threads I reviewed w/ very "soft" answers (the first one is the only thread that explicity mentions this size). The OP in the first link had 6.5" Spoon wheels and mentioned that the slips +40 clear by 1mm. In my mind that's not really clearing as on a track that could spell tragedy.

If doespike owns that car then he would have experience w/ the spoons + spacer, not the slips. If anyone has these on their R currently I'd appreciate some input. 5mm spacers arent that big of a deal but I don't want to rub the outside fender

 

35s do but not sure about the 40s. Sorry man

If I remember correctly, those wheels would NOT clear. Please be aware.
That's why most Spoon'd-out DC2's run 16x7.

[edit]Sorry I misread the thread title. I thought it asked about the real SW388 wheels from Spoon. Those would not fit. As for Slipstreams, I do not know but I would take Koala Yummies' words

 

Wouldnt this mean that 40 will clear with 5mm spacer?
