Torque Dampner Adjustment
I've attached a photo of the style of dampner I have on my Lude. I'm hoping someone here can tell me the correct way to adjust it. I had to remake the brackets to properly fit my car, (re-tig welded the joints and gussetted them for strength), however none of these things are sold with install diections. It's up to the user to figure it out. Simple yes, correct not always.
I'd appreciate feedback from someone who has used one of these. I think I know I don't have the preload set right on mine so I'm looking for adjustment advice.
Thanks in advance,
V1

It has 2 rubber bushings and a delrin or nylon spacer that gets compressed when the motor moves. There is no zero as you say unless "zero" is where I had to adjust it to to get it between the two mount points. That's why I'm asking whether there's an adjusting procedure. Seems like you'd want to take up some of the "slack" on the internal components to minimize compression and engine movement.
