Default Car won't start

I ran out to starbucks, and I was there for a few hours, then when I came out my civic wouldn't start. I had it towed back to my place. The CEL comes on and turns off after 2 seconds, the fuel pump primes. I'm not getting any spark though. There is no voltage between WHT/BLU on the ignitor and body ground, but it passed the coil test. Any one have any ideas? BTW its a 1995 Civic DX hatch

my buddy owns a d16z6 95 four door. was having the same problem. . he had to turn the key about 9 times over a course of 3 minutes to start the car. . the problem was his fuel pump relay . . even if your fuel pump is priming, its cutting some of the voltage out of the system for starting the engine. . faulty relay equals no start. . try a new one hope this helps

Its normal for the CEL to come on for a couple seconds and turn back off when you turn the key on. The main relay could cause this. Try removing it and re soldering the circuit board (there is a DIY somewhere on this). Or try swapping in a known good one.

Yeah I know its normal for the cel to turn on then turn off, and then it clicks, I was mentioning that as that is an indicator that the main relay functioning is it not? Also would the main relay cause no spark?

Check whether the timing belt snapped. If it's fine, have the igniter unit inside the distributor tested.

Ok thanks, how is the igniter removed? is it just the two screws on it? I was looking at it last night and it was getting dark. Also, if the igniter is bad, do you know where I could obtain another besides junkyard/dealership? O'riley doesn't list the part at all for a 95, only for for 96-00

Did you check the timing belt?

The igniter was bad according to autozone's test so going to pick up a new one and see. For future reference to anyone reading this, if autozone looks in their book and says they can't test the ICM (Ignition control module) tell them the test sheet is not in the book, they have to download it from the computer, by looking up your ICM.
