Add my type R to the list of premature clutch failure!
Well, I don't know who is keeping count but I think a failed (ie, not worn out) clutch at 49K is a bit much. Experienced the same exact symptoms as hecklervtec I think it was. Cruising along as normal and then when stopped to shift into first, it was suddenly very difficult and the clutch point was all screwed up too. Had to baby it home.
I'd just had a minor service four days prior too.
I'm past warranty but we'll see what the service manger says.
Worn clutch plate, maybe, but a broken clutch??!! 'kinHell!
