Default Southern California Auto Sales

When ever I look for a S2K, these guys always pop up with several low mileage, cheap vehicles are various sites around SoCal.

Ive read a few reviews on them online, but was hoping to here HTechs reviews.

Anyone ever visit any of the lots, or have any experience with them?

Every honda dealership wants to charge about 2-3k over the bluebook excelent value, and that is without a warranty.
Some of them even try to put some cheap tires on them.
I had seen a dealership in westminister that was selling a 2005 with low miles, but with some cheapo tires made by nexen.
After looking around,i began to find this to be very common, all of them trying to sell them with these cheap azz tires.
Kinda scary if u ask me to even try to run them with anything less than a quality tire...and the sales people even try to pitch to you......IT HAS BRAND NEW TIRES EVEN!!

If you're interested in checking something out, make sure to call first and see if it's on hand. I drove once about 30 minutes to check out an s2k just to be told it "sold over the weekend". There site does not get updated like it should. Also when I stopped by the s2k on the lots where pretty beat. Ripped/faded tops, paint oxidation all over the place, and hella used tires.

Most of the reviews online have said the same thing. Never really trust reviews online, but HT user is a little more reliable then some random review site.

Looks like my budget limit is getting bumped up.

Thanks

That sounds like a decent deal, but I'm looking for a 04 or higher. I just bumped my price range to 18k so I dont think I"ll have a trouble finding what I really want.

Earlier this year, when i was shopping for my s2k, i went to this dealer to take a look at a few. These guys have quiet a few s2k for sales, but it isn't completely stock or with a small rip on the top.
If you want a clean complete car, try searching elsewhere. Since you're paying for it, why not get something clean and stock. That's what i did and found a clean white one on Craigslist.
Good luck with your search.

Sorry to bump an old thread but I felt the need to add a bit of caution to anyone out of the area who is considering buying an S2K from these guys.

I saw a bunch of low mileage low price S2Ks and was excited to pick one up to replace my 350z ....My father and I drove about 20 minutes to check them out as we are very local to this dealership and when we got there I was mortified.

The black S2K I had my eye on for a price too good to be true was in fact MORE than I would ever pay for a car in the condition it was in.

The car looked BEAT like it was owned by a kid. Had Skunk2 stickers all over the place. the lower dash plastic was GONE as in not in the car at all.

Wiring was exposed as was chassis metal. the floor mats had a huge HOLE in them. The car had little dents and dings all over the place and was parked so close to the other cars Im surprised it didnt have more dings.

I was thoroughly disappointed - I would have paid maybe 7-8K for this thing in this kind of shape and they were asking like 17-18 IIRC...It took me all of about 3 minutes to look at the car inside and out and just shake my head at this "dealership" which is trying to see cars which are clearly straight from auctions and not reconditioned at all.

As a Honda salesman for a number of years this "dealership" gave me the creeps. I cant imagine the "deals" that go down in their finance office. I went with my own financing in hand for about 20K and they had NOTHING I would spend my money on.

I ended up buying a low mileage Honda certified 08 Si Sedan for 18k to shuttle my daughter in while I search for an S2K project.....would have loved an S2K but these guys are a HUGE scam in my opinion. I think they are going after kids who are so excited to buy a car they will overlook glaring problems that would make an adult RUN AWAY.

Buyer beware with these guys - if there ever was a place that was a place to stay away from - its these guys. See for yourself if you dont believe me - their "lot" is a joke....cars sandwiched right almost on top of eachtother - some with broken windshields, bald tires etc...almost like a wrecking yard.

I was there maybe 10 minutes and left shaking my head.
