please help....swappin a h22a4 auto to h22a manual
hey guys i need some help.... i have a 1999 prelude h22a4 auto with 210k miles on it. the body is in great condition. i want to make it a manual and have a great mechanic to do the work. im looking at purchasing a 92-95 h22a swap from a engine depot. ive read on the forum that the h22a is more tuner friendly. thats why i was gonna go with that motor. is it worth it??? or should i just stick with a h22a4??? also what other parts would i need to get besides the parts that are on my car now and that come with a basic swap (motor tranny ecu)???
thanks for the help

They're for the most part the same engine, the only thing you may have gotten all confused about is OBD1 is easier than OBD2 and it's not the engine, it's the car that must be converted.
its easier to stick with the obd2 on ur 5th generation..unless ur performance and tunning an obd1 is ur best bet like u mentioned..
My 5th gen was auto and i did the swap about 7 months ago, i got rid of my h22a4 and got the h22a with te jdm 5spd tranny as well...the swap is pretty straight forward if u have all the right parts but yeaa do ur research and take ur time....thats what i did and i havent had ant problems with my swap :D

im still undecided on whether or not to go obd2 or 1.... is the work converting from 2to1 really hard???what did you have to do besides get the conversation harness??
