So I just swaped the motor in a 2003 honda civic auto. car shifted fine before the motor was changed, but now when I pull away from a dead stop the tranny seems to be stuck in high gear. If I put the car into 1 gear and manual shift the car it is fine.

the plugs are all in the tranny and the fluid is full

any help woukld be great

 

Is the "D" indicator flashing?

MIL on?

Have you checked for any stored codes? Sometimes the ECU will be holding onto them without illuminating the MIL.


Something may just be out of adjustment. Have you gone back over your work?

 

No kidding. You obviously did something wrong. Check all your electrical connections. Some of them can interchange.

 

Yeah, go step by step and check every single connection... It sucks when you spend all that time and it doesn't work right. Transmissions can be very complex though too. Good luck.
