i'd take it off and visually inspect it.
sounds like something might have been installed wrong, or you've been getting on it.

but when did OEM classify as an Exedy clutch?

Cable is to tight. If not take it apart and inspect.

Adjust clutch cable first, then get back to us.

If you go to Bap Geon theIR OEM replacement for Honda is Exedy. I would do as the others suggested and adjust your clutch cable. Did you install the clutch in reverse?

you can only install the clutch one way. i know when my xtd was new it slipped alil until it was worn in then stopped slipping. as others said the cable may be too tight loosen it up some. this is why hydro clutches are so superior because they dont need adjusted.
