#35 reincarnated
Jacked up my radiator cap and rolled a new car underneath. She is finally running in NASA, all officially logbooked and everything. I'm down 10hp from my last dyno, and have a completely stock ECU, but basically back to where I was in 09. Running about the same times at Road Atlanta in race trim as well; 1:44s. I could probably tune some tire pressure, shocks and my head and run some high 43's. For full on time trial I can now run A's which would be 2 to 2.5s, plus a tune would help a lot in a couple of spots. That would put me in the ball park of being competitive.
There was only one other car in PTD this weekend, and most of the classes in my group were under subscribed. I had a good race going with a couple of cars until we got red flagged for a nasty oiled track incident in turn one. Its not really fun to sit there and watch clouds of smoke coming up from your brakes. Luckily I had pulled off line to the left, and everyone else to the right. I was able to let the car roll a few inches to keep down the worst of the transfer. Didn't have the best restart, and ended up finishing 6th over all out of 36, but half of those were spec miatas on a split start. I'm fairly certain I didn't finish that high on track, and I don't know what is up with the results, but that's what they say.
Time trial was a contingency disaster. Of the 7 people that were registered only 4 ran, and I didn't have any luck talking anyone else into the class. Of course, one guy who can drive shows up in a well prepared car. I'm overweight and on not the freshest tires, so guess who is sponsoring my next tire purchase? I'm looking forward to some close TT action once i get the car closer.
Nice to meet all of you who were at the race. You Integra guys looked awfully cold and forlorn up on the hill. Next time I'm there ya'll should come join me on the flat land of the skid pad where we set up camp and get out of the wind. Plus we have hot coffee and I bring every tool and spare part imaginable when I go that far out of town.

Karl, I was sad to see you parked on Saturday. I'm gonna bring you some kind of voodoo reliability totem from New Orleans the next time I come up.....
One day I'm going to have to park on the inside, but with running the TT and the race group its just so much easier on the outside. But I am watching you all closely from my perch up on the skid pad, lol.

Here is the most boring TT session, ever. A car lost his hood pins bringing out a double yellow. Everybody pitted about the time the course went green (they dropped the double yellow about the time I stop), and then there was a hold up on the pit lane.
Never got the camera set up Saturday because we were running so much. Then not much Sunday morning. Didn't feel like sitting around 3 hours then running another 3 hours, and getting home a 2am or grabbing a room on the other side of ATL. So, we packed it up after the morning 2 TT sessions.

The only bits of hot laps start about 2:50 and 9:10

Sorry I missed you scott, I was with the "forlorn" group of integras you mentioned. The guy you picked up the PY ITR was there for a few minutes. He did not say your name otherwise I would have put two to and to together and approached you. I was looking for the integra in your avatar.
