Icon3 helpp!!!! motor choke on > 30% throttle

tried searching but the search button s.u.x.

anyways, im having a issue with my teg. i recently just swap a stock gsr swap into my teg and it will choke (wont rev any higher) and died out everytime you go more than 30% throttle (this is while in neutral and driving). but if you baby the throttle (less than 30% throttle) the motor will rev up fine. i have tried different map sensor, ecu, injectors, fuel rail, spark plugs, spark plug wires, and distributor WITH KNOWN working one. i am out of clues as what is wrong with the motor. the compression is 180 psi on all 4 cylinder. timing is dead on. the gsr swap was running perfectly fine before it was taken out.

the only thing i had to change was unwire the resistor box as i had a resistor box on the previous motor before and i chop off the wires for the abs system. other than that nothing has been touch.

also, only mod on the car are Intake/Exhaust/Hy-tech header.

any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

What year is this vehicle?

Do you know how to check the Throttle Position Sensor for its reference signal, and for proper output?

Is the TPS connected correctly to the ECU?

And you are sure the TPS and MAP plugs are not switched?

Even if they are switched it will not throw a CEL. What ecu are you running?

Not true in all scenarios. I would always double check.

^^ Yes. It is easy enough to check so just switch them and see. It takes two minutes and doesn't hurt anything.

Could be a bad TPS, but if it was running fine before then maybe you messed up some thing when wiring the injectors..?
