Default F20C/Factory Transmission in a 2009 Civic Si?

After searching both Honda-tech and the internet, I have been unable to find any information regarding this swap. Is it possible? I was thinking that the engine bay in the Civic Si may be too small to accomadate the F2K engine and transmission combination. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Considerably too small... and it wouldn't work for the drive train; front front vs front rear... I see lots of issues on this one...maybe if you took the F20C engine and mated it to the Si tranny, you could have the best of both worlds...my $.02!

That is what I meant. I would keep the factory transmission. Hence the F20C to K-series transmission.

I'm not sure that its been done yet. Props to you if you want to be the first. IMO it would be a better idea to just do a k24 swap if anything. Less work, less money, more power, more after market support. There have already been people swap a k in an s2, I believe mainly because power comes alot easier from it. In the end your money your time your choice. Gl

I don't think it's been done yet. Reason being: Why would anyone want to do this? The K series can make the same or more power as the F series with tuning and bolt ons. Tuning and bolt ons are cheaper and easier than fabricating a motor swap.

The F20C also relies on a LOT of different things to achieve the full 240hp. Someone swapped it into a miata and lost a TON of horsepower because of the exhaust routing differences.

Most pointless swap ever. I guess if you want to be a pioneer and do it just to do it....go for it. There's no POINT to it, however. I guess the internals of the F20 are stronger if you wanted to go FI. But...again...building your current engine would probably be cheaper and easier in that case also.

There was an issue of honda tuning awile back where a dude actually put a k20 into an s2000 because of the possibility of it being able to make more power than the F20. They say the aftermarket support for the k20 is larger than the f20 as well.

The k20 is probably honda's best motor yet. Why **** with it.

It was actually a K24 in a S2000.

Has anyone seen a tranny adapter ring for the F20C to a K series tranny, probably one of the easier things to source, if they exist...not sure if the bolt pattern is similar or not...

I know it is possible to bolt an F20C to a K-series transmission and get that swap to work in most civics, but I have never seen this swap in a newer civic. I was wondering if the engine bay is large enough to accommodate it.

A well built k24 makes too much sense to even consider a f20/22c, unless you JUST want to be different
