Default itr shifter install..

how do these parts line up? i assume the plastic piece goes over the ball part. Where does the gasket go?

Yeah I ended up figuring it out, u have to man handle the gasket. I didn't use lube, is that just for install? Or does the ball need it?

For reference to people that search this thread. I installed this on a 00non-Itr, the shift linkage is to narrow and I had to make wider for the bottom of the shifter. So besides the Itr linkage being gold(newer), without weights, larger diameter, and wider at the end too.

Its also a 2 man job. 1 under the car and 1 in the car to loosen and tighten it up.

I dont think the ITR linkage should be any wider than anything else. I had a GSR shifter on an ITR gold linkage before....and I didn't need to squeeze the linkage. I think that your linkage was either crushed a bit from bolting down...or you have a civic si linkage in there. The bar diameter between my gold linkage, USDM 01-R linkage, my GSR's linkage, and my non-vtec integras linkage....all the diameters are the same. Im fairly certain also that the shifters are all the same except the ITR has a chrome one after 2000 and it is rumored to be a smidge shorter. Again...I feel no difference between my RS, GSR, and R.

I had to widen my shift linkage at the end, probably 1/2 inch to fit the new shifter with the bushings on. And I thought the gold linkage(supposedly JDM one) was bigger in diameter. At least thats what i got from searching on here. Well it feels great either way, had the B&M short shifter on before. With the TI **** and new shifter worked out great on the track this weekend.
