Hello Honda-Tech. I noticed a very unusual problem the other night. I was driving home from a friends house and as I began to slow down for a red light, my lights turned off completely (Dashboard lights, Stereo lights, Head lights, Everything) and my engine shut off. Everything turned off for about a second and then the engine turned itself back on like nothing had happened. It's the second time this has happened to me. It doesn't happen too often though. The battery connector for the negative has been a little loose so I figured it might have been that, however, even if you pull the negative wire off of the battery, it will still run. I don't think it's a battery problem because when it turns back on, my radio stations and settings are the same. They don't reset. It only resets if the battery gets unplugged completely.. Has anyone else had this issue? My question is..
Is there any box, wire or connection that could shut EVERYTHING off completely?
I am stumped..

easy thing to do is a simple wiggle test. with the engine running literally start wiggling your wire harnesses/fuse box's and see if something happens. also try to remember if you did any work related to the electrical system where you might have left something loose/eg. ground wire.

wouldnt think so with stereo component, but i have seen crazier **** happen. so fixing this or at least checking it to eliminate it is somewhere to start.

I would start chasing ground wires. Your headlights and dash lights "should" always be on when switch on regardless of engine running, car being switched to on, etc.
Also, was it raining or very moist out when this happened?
