i first got an ecu from HMO.com that was dented and broken, so i send it back and they send me a new one, just got it today, it says pr3 on the upc on the side, but it has da6 written on the top, and when i drove today i hit the rev limit at what my stock tac said 7100.
is this the automatic integra xsi ecu?
is this the automatic integra xsi ecu?
I remember talking steve and he said he got all his automatic ecus converted to 5 Speed by Locash...........take that as you wish
um I think I forgot the numbers
pwo 5 speed 8000
pwo auto 7600
pr3 5 speed 8200
pr3 auto have no idea
Not to ask a stupid question or anything but was the car all the way warmed up the vtec doesn't activate and the rev limiter kicks in at around 7000 and all that stuff. I am not sure what the pr3 auto ecu is but I would hope its not 7100 lol.

just called steve, and it is the manual ecu...
it was completely warmed up, im also getting a code 6 on my ecu could that be why?
feels like vtec engages at about 5000, ive never driven a vtec car before this though, so i dont really know what to look for
also whats making me get the code 6? its for the tw sensor (coolant temp) but ive replaced the sensor and i am still getting the code

Hey Brandon,
I dont think the "PWO"'s ever came in AUTO. The "PR3"'s which is the JDM Integra XSi did however come in AUTO and MANUAL.
Someone correct me if Im wrong.

Something to think about... Im wondering also...
Does a check engine put your car in "limp mode"?? I had code 17 with no check engine light and it seemed to run pretty good, no vtec though. Then all of a sudden check engine light came on (still code 17) and it seemed to kind of bog down.
It would be nice if this limp mode is true. Maybe save your motor one day.
Do you have the tw sensor off your old engine? Its supposed to work?
hth,

Maybe....but did you replace the good one?
'Cause there is 2 sensors for coolant.
Well, one for the cluster and one for the ecu.
Just in case.No flamming.

Hey Monty,
Code 17 is a VSS code. Is your speedometer hooked up? Obviously after you start the car and the car is NOT moving, it wont trip the code. Only then after you drive for awhile will it "realize" you are not getting a speed pulse.
Check at the tranny and maybe the back of the instrument cluster ( if you have taken it out for Indiglos or something ) and make sure the cable is secure and spinning. If you got a B16 with a Y1 electronic speedometer, you are going to have to switch it out for the old one off your D-series tranny.
Good Luck

wheres the other one?, i didnt know there were 2. i replaced the one below the dizzy
Sounds like an AUTO ECU... B16a AUTO ECU's Rev Limit kicks in at 7200, and I believe fuel cut-off is between 7400-7600.... uggh... what a waste of a 1000 RPMS.

PR3 is the EF8 CR-X SiR and the EF9 Civic SiR
PW0 is the DA6/8 Integra XSI/RSi.
There was an automatic Integra XSi/RSi(PW0)....but there was never an automatic SiR(PR3)

Hey FishCat37, I think you may have it backwards. I have yet to see an automatic PWO.
Come over to the shop, and I will show you an AUTO PR3
PWO---JDM B16 CRX EF chassis
PRX---JDM B16 Integra XSI DA chassis

dude, most likely? so send it back even though ur not sure?
why dont you figure out the problem before you go jumping to stupid ideas..
and PR3= XSi
PW0= SiR
PR3 Rev limit= 7800
PW0 Rev limit = 8000
