i love how everyone recommends the dunlop starspec.. its a race tire.. R compound.. thread wear is crap on the streets.
for a good street tire, i would recommend the hankook v12.. thats what im on now and they work fine, rain or shine.

the starspecs are not R compounds bro...they're an extreme performance summer tire...tread wear rating is 200 which isnt bad...i take it you dont have any experience with them, huh?

I'm currently running hankooks V12, 225s in the front and 255s in the rear, and it's a great tire for it's price. Personally I wouldnt run rs3s on a daily however I do love them for auto-x, for a daily and auto-x I'd run dunlop star specs, good luck

u consider this car a grocery getter?
this isnt a econ box civic.
u get what u pay for and if ur happy with running shitty tires good for u. i guess they serve well going to the grocery store.
star specs are from dunlop super good tire for the price. rs3 are by hankook also an awesome tire, grip slightly better than the starspec with enough heat in them and are a tad cheaper in price but r not as good as the starspec in the wet.
If you go with Star Specs just be aware they run wide, 225/45-17s will look slightly pinched on a 7" rim (which is what I'm running). The Dunlops are great tires, fantastic steady state grip, 215/45-17 would probably feel more nimble though.

I reccommend(the set-up I have currently) the v12s 225 for the front and 255 for the rear as just a DD tire, they are also going for a great price buy from tirerack.com
