Replacing middle door moldings ?
I ordered brand new door protector moldings for my 90 Crx Si.
I'm just wondering how to remove the old moldings.
Once this nut comes off, is it easy to remove the rest ?

It's held in place by clips along the length of the door. I've found that if you tap the molding with a mallet towards the front of the car, it will slide off of the remaining clips BUT this only holds true if they have never been tampered with. Other than that, there's a specific tool you can buy/use OR you can use a couple of flathead screwdrivers to "pinch" the clips out of their respective holes. If you have never done this though, be very careful because you can slip and scratch your paint fairly easily. Did your new moldings come with new hardware or do you have to reuse the existing clips?
I read somewhere to use a couple of putty knives and you have to squeeze the clips from the top and bottom to get them out. I would use some blue masking tape on the top and bottom to prevent scratches. Let me us know how it goes cause I need to do mine as well.
How do you figure? In the world of interior door panels, EF panels are one of the easiest I've ever taken off. A few screws and you're off in literally a minute or two.
I replaced those same moldings with OEM ones (Nooch - purchased easily straight from my local Honda dealer) and did it from the backside through the door panel by squeezing the clips out.

its quite simple really
start by removing the 10 mil nut for the rear then carefully bend out the molding from the door and push slightly down to release the bottom of the first clip, and then lift up to release the top. repeat for the rest of the clips. lastly the front clip just slide the molding forward and it'll come undone. then clean the dirt and replace or repair the molding.
your kinda just bending the bottom channel of the molding to release the clips from it. done it a few times with my 90' hatch. as i keep repainting my car. guess ill take pics next time.

I have bought a new molding so I dont need the old clips.
just turn the white clips sideways to take them out. the front clip can be pushed through and taken out after on or remove the door panel and look in towards the door prop the inner door support bar. it'll be sitting on it

I've done it from the inside of the door before, it was a pain in the *** (as stated). You really have to contort your arms to get to one or two of them.
I've read about using the putty knife too, would try that next time.
