Default 99 Vsm Ek

New to this site so bare with meee uggghhh !

From across the water, Scotland and have my build up to date for yous !

Had the car for just over 2 years now with slow process, nut it has came on a good whack !

Basics of the car are, its a 1.4 sport in vsm. Facelift mondel. And some pics to follow.

Plans for the car are to get a respray on it (same colour) and eventually drop a bigger engine into it (b18c jdm itr).

Anyyyyhow pictures

Update . .Front bumper off for smooth and respray

Then got my ctr rep grill for accessoryzone , many thanks <img src='http://www.civiclife.net/board/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />! that went away with the bumper and that plate recess to get sprayed to

Then got a tilt kit made for the spoiler for a bit more "look"

From This

To that

To follow onto that Little update, ek9'd my rear lights ! was a bit light when i took them and was with iphone so poor quility anyhow you get the idea ...!

Then my favorite purchase so far .... the wheels !

Wedsport tc-05 done in takata green! got these off a freshly imported starlet turbo ! The starlet must have has a serious track session before it was shipped as the front to were thick in brake dust that had been left to sit for a good while ! cleaned up well though !

Fired them onto the car after that to see what they looked like , it was going to sit mega high but that would just have to be for now

Then it sat like that for a while .....

Then stuff got a bit serious for a while

MeisterR ZetaS damping and height ajustable coilovers. The spec of these go like this ..

*Aluminium Top Mount with Harden Rubber Bushing
*Monotube damper with 32 stage damping adjustment (Compression and Rebound Combined)
*Linear Rate SAE9254 Chrome Silicon Steel Springs
*Lengthen Heavy Duty Rubber Boot and Bump Stop
*Aluminium Spring Perch, Locking Collar, and Lower Bracket
*Custom EG/EK Interchangeable Lower Bracket including High Tensile Bolts
*Dual Perch Coilovers Construction (Independent Ride Height and Spring Tension Adjustments)

Also i bought there lca, which came highly recomended !

After being rooked from them haha i bough wee touches for the interior ..

Genuine spoon duracon gear **** and ctr gear gaitor.

It then soon moved to d-day. Coilover fitting time ! It went all to plan only snapping the 1 bolt and it was still easy to remove it! Still needed to fiddle about with the height to get it sitting righ but they were on and that was the main point.

Bought an other cheap and effective purchase. Wind deflectors, making fresh air into the car ALOT quiter :D !

Then i focused back on the interior, and getting shof of the crap interior honda though was nice back in 1999 !

Starting with ...

A nice ek9 recaro , and an broadway mirror for more view !

Then thew some attention into the back seats of the car. Done the dc2 backs into the ek. Looks miles better that the ek9 ones, red stitching blends in with the recaro well etc...

Then my lip got ordered. Went for the ctr rep one ! Had a crack trial fitting it to see how it looked and went on etc

And then again it paused for a good while as i turned 18 and decided getting wasted all the time seemed better haha

Car got back on track when i started buying some parts again. Starting with my fardi wheel !

Threw the focus into the rear when some black ek9 plastics came up for sale, and to top the back seats off i bought them stright off ...

Few little updates here. Went and picked up some rear vti plastics for her ...

Out the granny grey comes

In goes the black !

Proceeded to but my momo boss kit and get a test fit of the fardi

Then properly done all plasicts back on etc and the horn!

Seeing i live it Scotland it does rain alot (sterotype ) so had to invest in euro wipers to get the windows clear quick and not flap about at speed !

Then along with the rubbish weather came dark nights. Civics are not know for how good there headlights are so HAD to purchase some HID'S

Seen a rear brace i couldnt say no to at a good price , so went for it

While at work one day searching through the forums came across a matchin ek9 recaro. Thought to myself, it would be rude not to buy it! The bonus was it was a steal of a price so never messed about and got it !

On the same day a group buy on snap off's came up, and me still excited from the seat buy...i went for that to haha ! D1 spec snap off for extra car safety !

Brings the wheel really close to you, like alot :D !

Then got a little shot of the recaros fitted. While i was fitting them i also swapped the ek9 rails out for dc2 ones as they sit a good bit lower !

Rails fitted

And you guessed it, it went dead again the project...

Got some cash back together and the project lived again! Starting off with a ek9 plate recess in the factory ek9 paint to match the car!

Then the thought of " it would be rude not to" came to my mind again and ended up seeing and buying a oem ctr rear lip for fitment and looks !

DOne a trial fit when it came, and it looked well good :D please also ignore the rubbish in the boot. especially the pink sub haha !

Back inside we go again! A local boy was stripping his ek9 for track, so not many parts were needed. Seen this and went for it to really to the interior off !

It did sit about for a few month's though while other stuff happened !

Dont have and idea what ran through my mind when i got these , were a good price so guess i wanted them on that basis. APR racing carbon canards #BOSS

While i was at it i though i may aswell get arc winglets made up for serious coolness !

Then fitted them up !

My golf became serious again so my money went there and the car was left again for a short period.

Back on track. I became a fan boy so bought this for the front of the car

And carried on the attempt to fit it for LOOKS ONLY

Took a little trip to out local racetrack (knockhill) to watch the brittish touring cars ! The place was soooo busy , we got put in the overflow carpark. Which to word better is "a farming field". It was dips hills loose clumps of mud etc. What this caused with a low car and a lip was sickening

R.I.P Front lip

If you remember rightly i have a strut bar and ek9 carpet to fit. One weekend+no rain+sun i went for it and got both fitted in only a couple hours !

picsssssss

When i did the strut brace i wanted to avoid huge holes in the plastics for he bar to come through. i passed, got them super tight the the bar :D

Notice somthing differant in the last pic, an addition to the car .... its green ? Okay i will tell you , 4 point takata harness !

I really was in need of a good sticker for the car to match a couple others, and this showed up from a local sticker boy i know ..

Serviced the car last week also, all oem honda parts used of course !

roooooooossay

One thing i forgot to check while fitting the srut brace was if my golf clubs would fit in.... WIN they fit in perfectly

Serviced the car last week also, all oem honda parts used of course !

ohh and bought a new sticker for the main man roooooooossay

When i fitted the strut bar i had my douts of how much room would still be in the boot..maint hing is the golf clubs fit so not bothered about anything else :D

Noticed when i had fitted the eyebolts it was catching on the carpet and rubbing and sticking so had to "slightly" sand down the top of one of the eyebolts ..

Still rubs against the carpet but not near as much as it did before !

Noticed on sunday the wiper bladed were looking rather faded and dated. So decided to give them a lick of paint and bring them to life again!

Before

During

Finished , comparing before and after

Only a small mod, but a big differance !

Few parcels came on monday for me nothing big or exciting. More interior parts, deadmans pedal ek9 handbrake surround and a rear tow strap to match the front !

And that is where the car stands just now. Currently saving to get the rusty arches cut out and replaced undersealed then resprayed so dont expect any updates ... and christmas to

C+C welcome, as i know there will be haters of the wheels haha! but they are going gun metal grey next year !

Been a while but its back on track again ! bought a few parts to, just need some more work done !

Anyhow , the wheel colour WILL be changing so bought some nuts for them -

Took a while but i found a pressed metal jap style plate for the front -

Not sure if i want to run it now, as the font was not what it was in the picture when i bought it !

Got a mate to knock me up a custom gear **** to as my spoon one was just to light !

done a real good job on it, and its ALOT heavier than a ek9/dc2 one !

more to come ...
