here we go again! 2nd motor put in an sounds like its got a nasty rattle.. yes im young and learning only just started working on cars in march..

my gess is throw out bearing stuck on?
pluss it also heated up reeal fast!! im new to this and really need help!

i also forgot to say my clutch was qiut stiff before i starteed it up. and then it got stuck in gear? had to turn it off.. ive been at it all day.. goin to take gearbox off tomorw and start it with just a barrel housing to "knock" (ha) some problems off.

clutch? im pretty new to this too but if u swapped the motor and this one overheats n all that u might have a burnt out clutch dude and did it heat up just when u started it up or did u drive it around?
yea like had a burnt smell in the shed that was a little like clutch. um ive started it three times so far. first time turned it off nearly str8 away. secound time had it running for 5 - 10 mins. both radiator hoses got wel.. extremly hot!.. there was also black smoke pilling out off the mufler? and reason why im looking at clutch an gearbox etc is i drove it up out of the shed bowt 5 metres then it got stuck in gear, so turned it off put in reverse then backed into the shed. once in shed got her in nuetral then tryed putn it in gears and it wouldnt go. makn crunching noises like i didnt have the clutch on
turns out it was the crank pully!! loose as f**k!. its now got me scratchen my head bowt wat else the previos owner has done? he took the effort to get it machined and acid dipped, head and block.
Please give me your thoughts!
worth dismantling and then tourqing everything back down to spec?
he put b18c valves in and b16a2 cams in a pr3-4 head. surely he wouldnt half *** it?
