What is required to run one of the AP1 oil pumps in a K24A4 block?
Is it better to just run the ERL pump?
Is the K20A2 pump good enough?

You have to run the ERL setup, a stock s2000 pump wont bolt up right. The normal type s pump should be just fine. You also need the types s tensioner and I think it is the k24 oil pump chain and guide. I don't remember exactly.

I am currently running the ERL s2000 pump and have been for a few seasons now with no problems. It holds 100psi oil pressure to 10,000.

 

for a simple build you can run a type-s oil pump.Allmotor street car with a k20a2 oil pump.

Are you using the type s pump?

 

yeah a2 brand new oem pump man.My rev limit is at 8600 on my kpro so we are in the 8900-9000rpm range on the cluster.
