iam trying to figure out what motor we can put into a 1976 civic. and if there are any shops that restore these babies!

http://www.civic1200.com has a discussion board.. i, myself, have a 1977 Honda Civic CVCC dropped on carrera full coilovers, addco rear swaybar, autopower roll bar and many different other mods.. but the motor sucks.. i'm thinking of swapping in a ZC with either Individual Throttle bodies, if i do fuel injection, or stick with a quad carb setup if i decide to not go with fuel injection..

 

If you have a "Borders" book store around you, they have a book (8"x11" soft cover) that includes a chart on what motors will fit in what vehicles. They had a section on the older cars too. Can't remember the title, but it had "Honda" in name.

nice to bad a b16 motor would not fit hehe

 

I always loved those cars, never actually seen any modded tho. They would make a cool rally beater car.

 

I have seen 2 1st gens with b16as in them.... fast as ****!

there is a guy around here that has two 1200 civics and has droped accord(1500?) motors into.... and is now trying a NOS system on one..

 

joey i told u we have teh old accord at the yard i cant get into it because its wedged between a big *** trailer and some scrap but its there

 

yeah, i know.. i think i want the motor/tranny, too...
