89 civic Help

Default 89 civic Help

Got a hatchback dx model and got. Couple of problems yes i googled em but wasnt to sure what was the answer.

1. Very low brake pedal do i need to bleed master and all brakes.
2. Squealing noise from a belt from a cold start gets louder when accelerating but goes away in a minute.
3. Some kind of foil is in my master cylinder can i just take it out?
4.hand brake doesnt work.
5.when im driving my car idles goes up and down then goes away but keeps coming back

For your idle problem, does the CEL come on? If so check to see what code your computer is throwing. For the brake issue, yes you may have to bleed your brakes but check to see if your loosing brake fluid. Could be a bad master cylinder or a line has a break in it. Does your pedal travel all the way to the firewall if you hold the brake pedal for a long time? Your E-brake may need to be adjusted, or the cables could be broke. Your belt is either not tight enough, old or something could be leaking onto it. As far as the "foil" in the master cylinder, I've never seen "foil" there's always a float that goes in with the top. Try working on these problems yourself so you can give us alittle better discriptions. We can only help you so much with general information.
